China Clay / Hydrous Clay

Factual: China Clay also known as Hydrous Kaolin clay is naturally occurring hydrated Aluminium Silicate which has a wide industrial application.

Features: Various grades of China Clay provide as an excellent functional filler and surface coating properties such as gloss, shade and smoothness. This mineral is widely used in the paper, adhesives and sealants industry for its small particle size dispersion and oil absorption characteristics. China Clay has also been effective in partial replacement of Titanium Dioxide in high sheen water-based paints and solvent-based gloss enamel paints due the clay’s particle size distribution. The mineral is also used in rubber, cosmetis, construction, feedstock and bakelite industry.

NBT Offering: NBT offers a variety of China Clay grades with various colour brightness and fineness (mesh/micron size) adhering to the specifications of the various industries. Please contact us to know more about our China Clay products

Description

30-1-2 BARYTES Baryte or barite is a moderately soft crystalline mineral form of barium sulphate (BaSO4). Approximately, 80% barytes produced worldwide is used for oil and gas drilling as a weighting agent in the drill mud, primarily to prevent the explosive release of gas and oil during drilling. Its unique physical and chemical properties like heaviness, high specific gravity, chemical and physical inertness, very low solubility and magnetic neutrality. Barium compounds are utilised as filler, extender and aggregate. Baryte after converting to barium carbonate, is used in the manufacture of ceramic and glass. The Mangampet deposit in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh is the single largest barytes deposit in the world.
